Goodbye to my blue eyes~

For the longest time.. I have wanting to write this down but alas.. I only write when I have the mood.. and it’s not always that when I have the mood, my comp is not with me or even if it is… the situation just isn’t right to whip it out and type.

Anyway, back to the topic…
Yeah… goodbye to my blue eyes…
Not that I have blue eyes.. though I always wished to have it… hah
Which is why I have been wearing blue contacts for the past 10 over years..

But the main reason for wearing lenses and not glasses is because I hated it whenever my glasses gets fogged up...lol..
But I wore my lenses for long hours and I find that washing lenses is such a chore..
Which is why I only wash it before wearing and when after removing, I would only just chuck it into the case. *not a good example...* >_<

N we all know there is this wonderful (well.. actually not so wonderful..lol..) surgery called, Lasik to solve the problem.. So after contemplating and reading up all sorts of accounts for a few years...(yes..YEARS.. lol.. cuz I was afraid and unsure..) I decided to attend a forum talk by one the clinic that I'm interested to do at.

It was just the usual explanations on how the surgery is done with and the different types of methods that are available. A free evaluation check is given for those who have attended the forum talk. I thought that is no harm since I could have a check to see if I'm eligible for the surgery or not and I could still back out if I do not want to go ahead with it.

Anyway, to cut a long story short, after the 3 over hours of evaluation check, I had decided to proceed with the surgery the following day. Well.. in fact I would have probably done it on the same day if it wasn't that my check up was in the afternoon... lol..

These 2 days～

These 2 days was tiring.. but worthwhile.. ^^
As a Smap fan for so many years...
We all know how hard it is for the 5 of them to be together not to say travelling overseas together!
N especially.. coming all the way to Singapore!
It's like a dream coming true?

Been a fan for around 10yrs.. this is such a good.. (good is an understatement..) too good to be true news!!
When I got the news.. I was totally lost and panicking...
I wasn't able to think properly.. lol ..
Anyway, I was glad that I managed to see HIM in the end..

Mentioned in the mia post on the start of a new journey…
Well, ain’t exactly sort of a new journey... lol..

Just had my bday some time ago... which means.. I’m a year older again.. (；一_一)
It’s surprising how time flies...
Though I have been in the “adult age” category for quite some time.. I have never really thought of being as one.. lol..
The age group of the crowd I hang out with varies.. lol..
But I had quite a few who are in their early twenties.. I still remembered that when I first knew them, they were not even 20 yet! (^^ゞ

Thus... the thought of the start of my journey..
To act more like an adult.. XD (can't help laughing out loud after typing this... lol..)
on second thoughts...maybe.... not. ^^
I'll just be myself than trying to act like an adult.. lol..

Anyway... back to bday...
Usually.. I don't really celebrate it..or do I take a day off from work like most do..
Coincidentally, the lunar bday was only a day before...
So...technically speaking, I had dinner with friends on both bdays.. heh..
As I ain't a photo taking type of person.. naturally... it never came across my mind to take any... (^_^;)
Only remembered to do so during the 2nd dinner I had..
Before we start bbq the meat at Gyukaku.. ^^

Had a great nite out on both days.. ^^
Was surprised to receive some gifts too..
Normally I'm contented with just having dinner with a group of friends.. ^^
From my colleague.. who handmake a card and spent 2 over hours to draw out the picture..^^

My long time friends who bought this when we were in Japan earlier..
They know how much I love Suzy Zoo.. lol..
N just nice.. needed a cover for my iphone.. ^^

A dear friend whom I co-habited with for 2yrs.. lol..(nah.. dun get mi wrong.. my roommate.. keke..)
She knew I wanted to get this duffy pouch which you will see alot of people hanging it at their bags or pants when you are at Disneyland/Sea.. ^^

2011 Planners ♥

It's the time of the year again...
where all the planners are out for the coming year..
As usual, a few of the well known brands have released their planners under Mook.
Just to show some of them.. ^^

All selling at 1,365yen and were released on 9/18.
These names ain't a stranger if ya familiar with the Japanese brands..^^
Personally.. Suzy Zoo caught my attention immediately..
Since I'm a sucker for their products.. lol..
but.. but.. isn't it a bit too kiddy for mi? keke...
then again... I prob dun really care..so it won't be really a problem for mi... heh..
N I have been carrying their schedule book for years...
the only thing is that I can't carry it with mi to my meetings.. (^_^;)

Somehow... I dun really fancy their cover.. which is kinda similar to last year's design..
But they have a ★ on it! ^^ prob the one and only one... lol..

The typical cher print as their cover... but this time.. I dun really fancy the color of the papers..
The picture doesn't really show much and when I managed to get my hands flipping through it, I thought the paper was abit too yellowish..?
N I also don't really like this layout of the schedule page..(^^ゞ

Back from Missing In Action~

Feeling bad that I haven't been doing much trans or posting lately...(refering to the forum..)
Managed to take a few days off and zipped off to my 2nd home.. ^^
It was good to be a fan girl again... lol..

Seriously.. I ain't the hysteric, scream and going gaga over idol kind of person.. lol..
I just can't bring myself to be like that.. (^_^;)
But once in a while... *coughs* I'll let myself loose for awhile.. ^^
I supposed only during their concert, will I be like that? *winks*
Nope.. it ain't doubleS or any kpop artiste if that's what ya thinking..lol..
I started out from Jpop remember? ^^
It's amazing how I managed to understand the language with their motivation which I supposed is the same case for those who are into kpop?
N no.. I haven't given up Jpop..
I doubt I'll ever be able to.. it's just different I guess..
the years it had accompanied me while I was living in Japan..
It was kinda of a stress relieving way?
Or a place to allow me to forget for just a few hours of all the problems etc. I had in this foreign country..
yesh..it's not totally heaven even though I had my praises for it..
(will leave the details for that aside for now.. )

It was a hectic and tiring trip..
I suppose it also gotta do with the age too..lol..
I used to be able to attend concerts consecutively for days... but not now..
I do agree seats do affect the mood...
my first night was at the corner where I couldn't see the main stage screen properly...but..
3 and a half hours of concert is kinda tiring for me...
Not in the past though.. (；一_一)
The following day, I had sort of a good front view seat and I totally enjoyed it...
As it was the final... it lasted around 4hours or so?
Considering the fact that I had queued under the blaring hot sun for an hr in the same afternoon just to get concert goods..
I was kind of knocked out thereafter..lol.. too tired..
Took mi a while to recovered... even when I'm back... (@_@)

So where had I been?

Taking for granted in life?

This has been chucked in the draft (together with my Day1 Seoul trip..lol..) for the longest time..So before it's pushed to the next page and I prob will forget about it.. I'll better press the "publish post" button first..^^

Well, it doesn’t applies to all but at some point of time.. I suppose there is just this one thing in life that we take things for granted?

In daily life, I never have the need to do any household chores. My mom attempted to ask me to sweep the floor but I end up sneezing so much that she got fed up and took the broom from me and said she rather do it herself.. lol..
I never have the chance to wash any clothes either.. it sort of became a “default” that mom is the one doing it.
Breakfast and dinner was the same too… mom was the “default”.. ^^

It all became different when I was in Japan. I had to do ALL the stuffs myself. Surprisingly, I enjoyed doing groceries shopping and laundry.. XD
I even enjoyed trying out cooking…like making pancakes, something which my mom would never make. Though the first try came out as a black one..lol.. but subsequently, I got the hang of it.. ^^
I also have to learn to remember to pay the monthly bills for rent, water, gas, electricity.. bills which I never have to bother about back home.

These went on for 3 over years before I returned back home and everything was back to the same as before..
Well, more or less since now that I have to pay my own bills instead..lol..

Then there came the health issues.. though I’m not that young nor am I that old.. lol.. I never think much about it. Most wun have much problems with it during my age.. ^^

Weather ⇒ Worldcup...

I had intended to get my recordings of my short trip done during the weekend.. but I got occupied with dinners and stuffs that it just got delayed...(^^ゞ

Recently, weather over here has been kinda erratic..
It's still hot and sunny..but the next moment, there be the sudden downpour.

Since young, I love rainy days.. I like how the rain splattered onto the windows and watching the winds swaying the trees..But of cuz, I dislike it when I have to head out and my shoes and pants got wet..

Weird as it seems that the nice rainy weather happened during the morning on weekdays. Which means I can't enjoy it as I have to pull myself out of the bed to head for work. The only time I get to enjoy sleeping till late noon is during the weekends. But apparently weather love to play a joke on me. The sun shine happily during these 2 days...(－－〆)

Talking about weather, reminds me of the recent flood over here..
I remembered clearly that very morning, my director was asking if there's flood over here. (director ain't local)
I told him straight that nope! there's no flood here.
But opps.. when it's near to noon.. news of the flood at the town area were splashed over the news..

How embarassed I was when I told my director that I was wrong and there's a flood in town.. He was laughing and told another colleague that he was asking me this morning and I told him that there isn't..(ーー;)

N talking about that colleague the director was talking to..Another non-local. Basically my company full of japanese..
Being someone who come from a 4 season country, surprisingly they can't really take the cold from the aircon in the office.
It's a common scene to see them wearing fleece jacket (from uniqlo..lol..) and for the ladies, they even have the fleece blanket on their laps..
This particular one.. gave me a shock the other day...
She was wearing leg warmers.. (@_@)
I only remember wearing leg warmers during the winter season..not in this hot sunny island..lol..
So I decided to ask her...

そんなに寒いなの？(Is it really that cold?)
寒いよ！(It's really cold!)
寒くないよ！レッグウォーマーはちょっとね．．．(It's not cold at all..wearing the leg warmers is abit...)
いや、必要ですよ！私は日本人から．．寒いよ～ miyo は変だよ．．日本人ならないよ～(No..it's a must! I'm Japanese so i feel cold. miyo is weird not feeling cold..you won't become a Japanese like this..)
エッ？大丈夫ですよ．．．日本人になりたくない、ただ日本に住みたいですよ～(^^ゞ (eh? It's alright...I don't wanna become a Japanese, I just want to stay in Japan~)

My colleagues knows how much I loved Japan that somehow they thinks that I wanna become one..(ーー;)
No offense to the Japanese..Anyone who knows me know how much I loved Japan.. lol.. I'm just ok with being who I am. Don't really find the need to change and it's not as if one really could!

I remember this fella from Hong Kong who married a Japanese wife and currently staying in Japan now. He was boasting to me that he has a Japanese passport now and that his kids will be Japanese..
Like how stupid can he be for a guy in thirties to say that...(sorry for being straight...) Even if he has his citizenship changed, his kids will still be HALF Japanese... But he just insisted that I was wrong... (ーー;)
Sorry for being blunt, but i thought such thinking is really dumb...

Anyway, that aside. It's the World Cup season!
I ain't really a love soccer person so I dun really get what's the hype about..lol.. But seems like most around me are into the South Korea team.. (no need to explain why..lol..)
I've watched 2 matches, one at a korean restaurant and one at TCC... 2 different places with 2 completely different atmosphere... ^^
But it was fun watching how those korean salarymen suddenly stood up hugging each other when there's a goal in the middle of the restaurant and the gals wanna scream but dared not at the latter venue.. ^^

Enjoying the litchi flavoured tea and a bottle of heineken...lol.. (weird combi..^^ ) while watching the match..^^

Back..... into tiredness....

Back from a 9 day trip and I'm totally worn out..(；一_一)
(I had to sleep for 12hrs yesterday in order to regain my energy..n i'm still feeling tired... *sweat*)

Never have I ever travel on such a "tight schedule".
2 countries in 9 days.
4 flights in total, flying once every 2-3 days.
Ain't a luxurious trip which means lugging of the suitcase on/off buses/trains and not to forget dragging it along the uneven roads..

I have to thank my dear fren, who always let me bunk in with her so I could save on accomodation and helping me with my luggage on the last day..^^

I have to thank another dear fren, who took some time to bring me around shopping, eating and being my translator!^^

The 2nd country was kinda an unexpected one since I didn't really plan to and when I did, it was kinda last min.
I was even much surprised that I actually enjoyed myself there as I didn't think I would.. lol..
In fact, I'm looking forward to my next trip (god knows when... hah.. ) to cover places I didn't get to visit. Or should I say shop? XP
